Admission Announcements | July - January | - Regularly review the Admissions section of your target exams/business schools for important information.
Application Submission Deadline | October - April | - Many lower-ranked business schools may extend their application deadlines, but it’s best not to rely on this.
- Some business schools require you to answer a few subjective questions (e.g., Statement of Purpose, Why MBA) as part of the application. Get these answers reviewed by your faculty before submission.
Entrance Exams | September – February | - MICAT is held twice a year (in December and February), while MAT is held four times a year (February, May, September, December). NMAT spans almost three months, allowing a maximum of three attempts.
- IIFT takes place in November/December/January. XAT usually occurs in January. CAT is conducted in the last quarter of the year, and SNAP in December/January.
Group Discussions/Essay and Interviews | January - April | - Some institutes begin their GWPI (Group Discussion, Written Test, and Personal Interview) processes immediately after result announcements. Start preparing for GWPI early.
Final Results Announcement | February - May | - Many business schools maintain waitlists, updated periodically even after the term starts.
- According to AICTE norms, if you withdraw admission from a business school after paying fees, they must refund the amount, deducting only a nominal handling charge.
- Provisional admission may be granted if your college results are not yet declared at the start of the academic year. Check with the admissions department for specific policies.
Start of Academic Year | June - August | - Some business schools require students to arrive on campus one week to a month early for pre-course modules.
