This year saw exceptional placements across all premier B-schools.
The final placements for PGP-BA and PGP 2024 at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore saw 516 eligible students accepting job offers from 163 firms. The placement week, ending on February 7, 2024, saw 503 students placed, with 13 more placed through a subsequent rolling process. A record 29 students were placed abroad, including with Infosys Consulting (7), Strategy& Middle East (6), Jindal Shadeed (5), TransformationX (3), EY Parthenon Singapore (2), JP Morgan Chase London (2), Health City Cayman Islands (2), Fast Retailing Japan (1), and Landmark Group Middle East (1). The median annual salary stands at Rs. 32.5 lakhs.
The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) concluded the final placements for the 2022-24 MBA batch with 464 students securing 529 offers. The highest CTC offered was ₹1.15 crore.
XLRI achieved 100 percent placements for the graduating class of 2022-24 across their Two-year PGDM (BM) and Two-year PGDM (HRM) programs. According to XLRI, all 503 students from XLRI Jamshedpur and XLRI Delhi NCR were placed through two recruitment phases: the Lateral Recruitment Process (LRP) for experienced students and the Campus Recruitment Process (CRP) for those without experience.
These reports from premier B-schools reaffirm the belief that an MBA offers excellent placement opportunities.
B-schools across the country are having a great placement season this year. Salaries and stipends have increased for both final and summer placements, and summer placements have started very positively.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad completed its first cluster of summer placements for the 2024 postgraduate program (PGP). About 60 firms participated, with the Boston Consulting Group as the top recruiter, offering 28 positions, followed by Bain and Company with 23 offers. American Express made the most offers in the cards and financial advisory sector. There was a 50% increase in international offers in this cluster.
IIM Calcutta finished summer internships for its 59th batch of 470 students, securing nearly 540 offers. Consulting and finance made up almost 59% of the total hires. The average monthly stipend was ₹1.59 lakh, the median was ₹1.5 lakh, and the top 25% received ₹2.24 lakh, according to IIM-C.
IIM Kozhikode also closed its summer internship recruitment with 100% placements for its two-year full-time PGP programs. The season saw 122 recruiters offering internships to 541 students, with the highest stipend being ₹6.47 lakhs. The average and median stipend was ₹2.5 lakhs, up 25% from last year.
IIM Lucknow completed its Summer Placement drive for the 2022-2024 cycle with 100% placement.
