Overseas Indian candidates applying with a valid GMAT score (NOT GMAT Exam - Focus Edition) should have a total scaled score of at least 720. Candidates residing outside India fall under the “Overseas Indian candidates” category. To qualify, a candidate must be an Indian passport holder expecting to live, work, or study outside India for at least 12 continuous months as of December 31, 2023.
The subsequent stages of the admission process, including the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI), will be held in India. Candidates invited to these stages will need to arrange their own travel and provide evidence of qualifying as “Overseas Indian candidates”
Note: Only GMAT scores from the current version administered after December 15, 2018, will be considered.
Candidates in their final year or those awaiting results can also apply. They must provide a certificate from their institution stating they are currently in the final year or awaiting results and have at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
If selected, provisional admission will be granted pending the submission of a final certificate by June 30, 2024, stating that all degree requirements are completed. Admission will only be confirmed upon submission of the mark-sheet and degree certificate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) by December 31, 2024.
Final year students must submit their mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year examination (including any supplementary exams) by June 30, 2024, to be eligible for admission. Failure to meet this deadline will result in cancellation of provisional admission.
Foreign citizens, or Indian citizens living, working, or studying outside India from December 15, 2022, to January 15, 2024, who cannot appear for CAT 2023 on November 26, 2023, will be considered ‘Overseas Candidates’ for admission to the MBA Programme of IIM Calcutta for the 2024-26 Batch.
A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST, and PwD categories). The degree should be from a university established by central or state legislation or recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. For foreign degrees, equivalence must be certified by the Association of Indian Universities.
For candidates with integrated masters or dual degrees directly after 12th/HSC, eligibility will be based on the percentage of marks considered equivalent to a bachelors degree. If UG and PG marks are not separated, PG marks will be considered.
Final year candidates or those awaiting results can apply. They must submit a certificate by June 30, 2024, from their institution confirming completion of all requirements for the bachelor’s degree. Completion status for integrated masters or dual degrees will be considered as of August 3, 2023.
Graduates from 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023 who did not receive marks or CGPA but only pass or promotion marks can also apply. They must submit a certificate from their institution stating this.
Candidates not receiving graduation results at registration must provide original certificates and mark sheets as soon as available, but no later than December 31, 2024. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
IIM Calcutta reserves the right to verify eligibility at various stages. Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting.
A valid GMAT score of at least 760 is required, with minimum scores of 45 in Verbal Reasoning, 50 in Quantitative Reasoning, 6 in Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), and 8 in Integrated Reasoning (IR). GMAT scores taken before January 15, 2023, are not valid.

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed between February and April 2024. Candidates must bear all expenses for attending the interview.

The total fee for the last batch was USD 65,000 for two years, including hostel fees. A one-time refundable caution deposit of INR 20,000 is required. Additional living and medical expenses are extra and vary from INR 6,000 to 7,000 per month.
Financial Institutions and Banks offer concessional loans. Students should contact banks directly. The Institute facilitates the process but is not directly involved.
The term "International Candidates" refers to Indian nationals residing outside India or foreign nationals with valid passports or travel documents residing outside India.
International Candidates are admitted through direct applications. If they cannot take the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management, they are required to take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examinations (GRE).
A graduate degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. AIU equivalency certificates must be presented if your degree was obtained from a foreign university.

IIMK PGP code for GMAT is D3Z-SQ-80 and for GRE is 4748-Indian Institute of Management. Use these codes to have your score sent directly to IIMK. Your official score report from Pearson/GMAC (for GMAT) or ETS (for GRE) will be used for verification.
To qualify as an International Candidate, an Indian national must have been residing outside India for at least 18 months as of January 1, 2024, and be outside India on the CAT 2023 examination date. They must produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate confirming this residency.
Foreign nationals must have a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India. Those in India during CAT must take the test.

IIMK offers scholarships: one scholarship awarding a 50% fee waiver and two scholarships awarding a 25% fee waiver for every 10 students. Thus, three participants in the PGP program, one in PGP LSM, and one in PGP Finance will receive a 50% fee waiver. Similarly, six participants in PGP, two in PGP LSM, and two in PGP Finance will receive a 25% fee waiver.
Foreign passport holders only will be considered as ‘International Applicants’ for admission to the Post Graduate Programme in Management of IIM Indore for the 2024-26 batch.
The candidate must have a valid Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score with a minimum overall score of 700 as of December 31, 2023. Only GMAT scores taken between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023, will be considered.
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, awarded by a University or educational institution recognized by the Indian Parliament or State legislature, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. An International Applicant seeking admission to the two-year PGP at IIM Indore can take the GMAT in their country of residence and apply using the prescribed application form, which can be downloaded from the official website.
Short-listing for the Personal Interview (PI) will be done based on the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Candidates short-listed for PI will be notified by the first week of February 2024. Regret letters will not be sent to those not shortlisted.
IIM Indore will conduct admission interviews for shortlisted candidates either online or offline (in Delhi and Mumbai only), depending on the situation. The institute reserves the right to change interview centers if necessary. Candidates must indicate their choice of interview center in the application form and make their own travel arrangements. The institute will not cover any expenses for attending the interview.
Shortlisted candidates must attend the PI; failure to do so will result in exclusion from the next stage of the selection process. Consistent performance in the PI is required. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance criteria in any PI parameter will not progress to the next stage.
Final selection will be based on the merit generated using the Final Composite Score (FCS). The scheme for calculating the FCS is as follows:
