Candidates residing outside India fall under the “Overseas Indian candidates” category. To qualify, a candidate must be an Indian passport holder expecting to live, work, or study outside India for at least 12 continuous months as of December 31, 2023.

The subsequent stages of the admission process, including the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI), will be held in India. Candidates invited to these stages will need to arrange their own travel and provide evidence of qualifying as “Overseas Indian candidates”

Note: Only GMAT scores from the current version administered after December 15, 2018, will be considered.

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, this requirement is relaxed to 45%. The degree should be from a university established by central or state legislation or recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
  • The bachelor’s degree must include a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  • If grades/CGPA are awarded instead of marks, equivalence will be determined by the institution/university. If no scheme for converting CGPA exists, IIMA will calculate equivalence by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying by 100.
Final Year Candidates

Candidates in their final year or those awaiting results can also apply. They must provide a certificate from their institution stating they are currently in the final year or awaiting results and have at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

If selected, provisional admission will be granted pending the submission of a final certificate by June 30, 2024, stating that all degree requirements are completed. Admission will only be confirmed upon submission of the mark-sheet and degree certificate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) by December 31, 2024.

Final year students must submit their mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year examination (including any supplementary exams) by June 30, 2024, to be eligible for admission. Failure to meet this deadline will result in cancellation of provisional admission.
