CAT 2026 Correction Window: Dates, Editable Fields & How to Edit Your Form

The CAT 2026 correction window is open for candidates who successfully submitted their CAT application. IIM Indore opened the edit window on October 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM, and it will close on October 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Only limited fields can be changed, so candidates should review their form carefully and make corrections within the deadline.

What Can You Edit in the CAT 2026 Application Form?

The CAT 2026 correction window does not allow complete editing of the application form. Only selected details can be corrected.

Major personal and academic details remain locked after submission.

Candidates should not assume that the correction window allows changes to all mistakes in the CAT form. 

How to Edit the CAT 2026 Application Form

To make corrections:

1. Visit the official CAT website: iimcat.ac.in
2. Click on the registered-candidate login.
3. Enter your User ID and password.
4. Open the CAT 2026 Candidate Dashboard.
5. Select Application Form.
6. Go to the photograph, signature or test-city section.
7. Make the required correction.
8. Review the change carefully before saving.

There is no separate fee for permitted CAT form corrections. 

What Should You Check Before Submitting the Correction?

Before saving your changes, quickly verify three things:

Photograph: Make sure the image is recent, clear and properly uploaded.

Signature: Check that the complete signature is visible and not cropped or blurred.

Test City Preferences: Recheck the order of your preferred test locations before final submission.

The source specifies a recent passport-size photograph with a white background and JPEG/JPG format, while the signature should also be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format. 

What If the Mistake Is in a Non-Editable Field?

If your error is related to name, date of birth, academics, category, work experience or another locked field, the normal correction window will not allow you to change it.

In such cases, use the CAT grievance portal available through the registered-candidate login. Candidates can raise a ticket and provide supporting documents where required.
